Silvia Tosi (Italy) speaker on Gestalt Conference for Psychology and Psychotherapy Practitioners | On-line 16th march 2024
Welcome to our International Conference and enjoy the beauty and meaningfulness of many different views from many different perspectives on the issues of changes in our existential environment.
Silvia Tosi (Italy) is one of the professionals ready to contribute into diversity of our dialogue: who we are and what we are doing, how we are interconnected and rooted in the times of rapid and often involuntary changes caused by the ground.
One of the key focus is Silvia’s practice is work with children and adolescents. She is bringing a family perspective on the issue of migration. Becoming children of migrants anywhere is a critical, complex and at the same time adventurous event, which marks the future in our societies. Those who have migrated can easily feel the lack of a basic support, of a ground taken for granted, it becomes difficult to place their own self in the world. Feeling at home in a foreign land, in a world where we have no roots, implies meeting in no man’s land where it is possible to co-create an unpredictable experience. Within her lecture “Stories in motion: Gestalt psychotherapy with migrant families” Silvia will illustrate gestalt clinical work in a family reunification situation. This lecture will be useful not only for those who are going through the experience of migration as moving from one country to the other, this lecture is useful for anyone ready to explore the challenges faced by children in the situations of seriouse change made by others – their parents and/or other authorities. How to keep connected to life when you canot influence so much on what is going on in your life? How not to get lost in the adventures of life organized by the adults? What is actually going on inside and outside whith the kids in migration?..
Welcome to our space inspired by the need for re-connection to life!
