International Gestalt Conference for Psychology and Psychotherapy Practitioners “Re-Starting, Re-Thinking, Re- Connecting. Rooting in life” – The Lodz Gestalt School and New Gestalt Voices are pleased to invite you to the event.
We are migrants all our lives. Our first migration is from our mother’s womb to the world, then from one place to another, from one role to another one, from one person to another and so continuously throughout our lives, until the last migration when we leave this world. And each time we migrate, it is first of all about loss and then about something or someone new, sometimes interesting and sometimes even exciting….
The aim of the conference is to consider migration first and foremost as the loss of ‘home’ as a familiar place with established connections and meaning – from many different perspectives: individual, collective, field, phenomenological, psychoanalytic, behavioural, social, cultural, philosophical….
We invite psychologists and gestalt psychotherapists from various locations around the world to consider the issue of migration in a broader perspective and our ways and resources of creative adaptation to a new situation and environment. We will talk about the profession, life, feelings, experiences, situations both on an individual and broader level.
